The reason for the seals was that I was hoping to see my first seal in the wild. When we arrived at Broad Bay House, I asked the owner where I could go to see a seal. He pointed to the telescope and told me to look over at the Island – that was my request ticked off. When we got back at the end of the day, there were even more, all lazing around on the beach. Unfortunately it’s too far away to take a photo, but I’m still happy.
To see what else we did today, Mum and dad have summed it up nicely on their blog. The only thing I would add is that the owners here at Broad Bay House are delightful – they go out of their way to do things for us, and all the extra bits and pieces are included. I would recommend this spot to anyone – young families, honeymooners, retirees – it’s perfect!
More from us tomorrow, and hopefully some photos soon.
