This is the name of the walk that Hilary photocopied for us. After a nice sleep-in this morning, we drove to Turville. This is the village where the Vicar of Dibley was filmed, and also has the windmill that the children lived in, in the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The walk started at the house that was used as the Vicar’s house in the TV series, and then took us through the fields, up and down hills, along little paths, winding our way round to where we started. It took about an hour and a half, but it was a lovely walk, with gorgeous scenery. The opening credits of the show are filmed from above, so the whole are is dominated by rolling hills and wide open fields. Adrian had lots of fun with his camera, and I just went along behind (or ahead) taking ‘auto’ shots with mine 🙂
We decided not to have lunch in Turville, so we came back to Maidenhead and ate at a little cafe along the river. We had an ice cream, and went for a walk along the river, before heading home to download the pictures. In a few hours we will have dinner (leftovers from last night) and head off to church. I will get Adrian to upload some of the photos from today … and then it’s the start of another week.
