Adrian and I arrived safely in the land of Oz on Monday morning. Our flight wasn't too bad, so we managed to get some sleep. The first leg wasn't quite as good as the second – the guy in front of me was loud, put his seat back during take off and never put it up again, and was all over his girlfriend/fiance … Adrian and I couldn't help laughing when the flight attendant was going over to ask him to put his seat up so I could eat my breakfast, and the guy spilt his hot tea all over his own lap – karma!!!
Anyway it is nice to be home, and we are staying at Mum and Dad's place, so it has been nice spending time with them and Katharine, and we also saw Eenie and Fran on Monday night. Adrian got stuck into work straight away, putting in a full day's work on Monday, while I am using my time to write wedding speeches, organise kitchen tea parties, and research the England schooling system a bit more.
Yesterday Adrian and I spent the day with Fran and her new boyfriend, Al (Alistair) – we went to the coast, had lunch at the casino, went for a walk along the beach, and then of course had to follow that up with an ice cream. We then headed back to Brisbane, and saw Run Fatboy Run at the movies, and went to an Indian restaurant for dinner – yes Fran and I were very adventurous! It was lovely to finally meet Al and to of course spend time with my Franny – we had a great day 🙂
We would love to catch up with as many of you as possible while we are here, so shoot us an email or I have my Australian mobile 0438 591 986 and let us know when you are free. Other than that, I look forward to seeing many of you at the tea party and the wedding – only 16 sleeps!!
